Description
Details
The TRA-1-81 Antibody reacts with a pluripotent-stem-cell-specific antigen expressed on the surface of human embryonal carcinoma (EC), embryonic germ (EG), embryonic stem (ES), and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. The expression of TRA-1-81 antigen is stage-specific; as human EC and ES/iPS cells undergo differentiation, expression of TRA-1-81 antigen is lost, making it a widely used marker to characterize human ES/iPS cells and to monitor their differentiation.
Sample Data
Figure A: FC analysis on H1 human ES cells at a 1:100 dilution.Red histogram represents TRA-1-81 Antibody and open histogram represents isotype control. A PE-conjugated anti-Mouse IgM was used as the secondary antibody. Figure B: ICC analysis on H1 human ES cells. Cells were stained with TRA-1-81 Antibody at a 1:100 dilution followed by an Alexa 488-conjugated secondary antibody (green). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
